About This Access Site
Pleasant Creek Lake is one of eastern Iowa's most popular boating destinations, and this southwest access point offers convenient launch facilities for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboats. The site features a dedicated kayak launching area along with boat ramps, making it accessible for paddlers of all experience levels. Multiple parking lots are available near the lake and boat ramp for visitor convenience.
All vessels on Pleasant Creek Lake must operate at "no wake" speeds, making it ideal for peaceful paddling and fishing. With four launch sites distributed around the lake and a total of seven ramps across the recreational area, you'll have flexibility in access points. The state recreational area also offers additional amenities including hiking trails, campgrounds, and a swimming area, making it a well-rounded destination for a full day of water-based recreation.
