Pleasant Harbor - 2 provides boat ramp access to Lake Pleasant and the Agua Fria River arm in Peoria, Arizona. The facility features two four-lane boat ramps capable of accommodating most common fishing boats and watercraft of all motor sizes. Access is available to vehicles with adequate ground clearance (two-wheel drive acceptable), making this a relatively accessible launch point for paddlers and boaters of varying experience levels.
Lake Pleasant offers excellent recreational opportunities with 114 miles of shoreline and multiple launch facilities, including a main 10-lane ramp and north entrance 4-lane ramp for larger operations. The Agua Fria River arm provides a distinct paddling environment—it's a major river system (Stream Order 8) with significant elevation variation across its 130-mile length. Paddlers should be aware that the river section features a substantial average gradient of 33.1 feet per mile with average flows around 109 cubic feet per second, indicating moderate current and dynamic water conditions that may be suitable for intermediate to advanced paddlers depending on water levels and specific sections.
Church Camp Road Recreational Shooting Site is located within 10 miles if you're planning a multi-day trip. For the most current information on seasonal access, gate hours, and any restrictions on specific launch areas, contact Lake Pleasant management directly before your visit.
