About This Access Site
Point Vista offers a convenient free access point to Hickory Creek Arm on Lewisville Lake with a two-lane concrete boat ramp and parking for 26 vehicles. Located off Turbeville Road in Lake Dallas (Denton County), this facility is ideal for kayakers and canoeists looking to explore the scenic Hickory Creek area of the 29,592-acre Lewisville Lake. The ramp provides straightforward launch access without reservation requirements, making it a good option for day trips and casual paddling.

This is a day-use only facility with no camping allowed on-site, though the nearby Hickory Creek Campground offers overnight options for those wanting to extend their visit. The area is easily accessible from I-35E (take exit 457 toward Lake Dallas Drive, then follow signs to Turbeville Road and Point Vista). Anglers and paddlers will find shoreline fishing opportunities, and the location provides access to one of the Dallas/Fort Worth area's most popular recreational lakes with over 20 parks and numerous paddling routes.
