The Pomeroy City Boat Ramp provides public access to Broad Run and the Ohio River in Pomeroy, located in Meigs County in southeastern Ohio. This is one of four public access points along the Ohio River's 38-mile border with the county, making it a convenient launch site for boaters, kayakers, and anglers. The ramp features a well-engineered design with adequate parking for vehicles and trailers.
From this access point, paddlers can explore the Racine Pool, a navigable 34-mile stretch of the Ohio River extending upriver to Belleville Locks and Dam. The relatively calm pool conditions make it suitable for various skill levels. Nearby Forked Run State Park offers additional recreational opportunities in the area. This site works well as a base for day trips on the main river or as an access point for exploring the Ohio River's tributaries, which are popular for kayaking.
