Post Falls Park

**Location & Access:** Post Falls Park is located on the Spokane River in Post Falls, Idaho, just off Interstate 90. From I-90, take the Spokane Street exit and head south one-half block to Fourth Avenue, then west to the large parking lot. The ramp provides convenient access to this scenic section of the Spokane River.

**Operational Season & Conditions:** River recreation is seasonal and managed by Avista in coordination with Post Falls Dam operations. The site typically opens in mid-June when river flows are suitable for summer recreation. Boaters should be aware that access is restricted by safety cables located upstream of Post Falls Dam—all watercraft must remain between the Spokane Street Bridge and these cables. Always check current conditions before launching, as water levels and access availability can change with dam operations.

**Nearby Recreation:** The park sits near Coeur d'Alene Lake and offers access to popular float routes along the Spokane River. Paddlers can also access other areas like Nine Mile Recreation area downstream. The Q'emiln Park swim beach is located nearby and opens during the same season as the boat launch.
