About This Access Site
The Presque Isle Stream boat ramp provides access to paddling and boating opportunities in the Presque Isle area of Aroostook County. Located on the city side of Presque Isle Bay, this access point is convenient for launching kayaks, canoes, and small watercraft into the bay system. The facility offers access to Presque Isle Bay, the connected lagoons, Misery Bay, and Marina Bay, making it suitable for both sheltered paddling and more open-water exploration.

**Important Safety Notice:** Paddlers and boaters must take out at the boat ramp and must not venture beyond the State Street Bridge. The Presque Isle Stream Dam lies just downstream of the bridge and is unrunnable and extremely hazardous—attempting to paddle over it could result in serious injury or death. Those launching here should plan their trips accordingly and stay within the safe paddling areas of the bay and lagoons.

Note that conditions at this access site may vary; the facility has experienced maintenance issues in the past. Nearby alternatives include the Lagoon Boat Ramp, which is known to offer ample parking and picnic facilities. Rental equipment including kayaks, canoes, and paddleboards is available through local outfitters for those without their own gear.
