About This Access Site
This boat ramp on the eastern shore of Lake Tapps near Bonney Lake provides one of the few developed water access points on the reservoir. **For 2025, the launch is restricted to Bonney Lake residents only, who must purchase a Boat Launch parking pass from the Bonney Lake Police Department.** The ramp offers a convenient put-in for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboats looking to explore Lake Tapps.

Be aware that Lake Tapps experiences significant seasonal changes. Water levels drop 5–10 feet from late October through late April, and motorboat access is unavailable during these winter months—making it ideal for paddlers during the off-season. The lake has submerged stumps and hazards in some areas, so exercise caution, especially when unfamiliar with the water. Road access to the area is limited, so plan accordingly. Nearby, Mud Mountain Dam on the White River offers additional recreation opportunities for those exploring the region.
