About This Access Site
The State Boat Ramp at Oquossoc Cove provides convenient access to Rangeley Lake via Route 4 in the village of Oquossoc. Parking is located at the intersection of Route 4 and Route 16, with the ramp situated just 50 yards away adjacent to the fish screen. This single-lane concrete ramp accommodates boats and watercraft of all sizes and serves as one of three public launch points on the lake.
Rangeley Lake is a scenic 6,300-acre water body with over 30 miles of shoreline, offering peaceful paddling and excellent fishing opportunities for salmon and trout. The lake is large enough for extended exploration, making it well-suited for kayakers, canoeists, and larger motorboats. Bank access is available throughout the lake, and the Oquossoc location provides good access to the northern portions of the water body.
