About This Access Site
Located on the south side of Rays Lake off 1st Street North in Elysian, this DNR public access provides excellent launching facilities for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboats. The ramp features a double concrete launch pad and dock, with a large parking lot to accommodate multiple vehicles and trailers. Most boats up to 12-18 feet can be launched here without difficulty.
Rays Lake is a moderate-sized lake with a maximum depth of 32 feet, offering good recreational boating opportunities in Le Sueur County. However, paddlers should be aware that Eurasian watermilfoil is present in the lake. Before launching, ensure all aquatic vegetation is removed from your boat, kayak, canoe, and trailer to prevent the spread of this invasive species. There are no launch fees at this DNR access site.
