Red Road Bridge, located on the Salem/Parker Highway near Parker, Idaho, offers a well-developed boat ramp access point to the Henry's Fork of the Snake River. This BLM-managed site includes a vault toilet and dedicated parking, making it a convenient launch for kayakers, canoeists, and motorized boaters. The ramp provides straightforward access to this scenic stretch of river, which slowly meanders through the Fremont County landscape with a character shaped by the river's namesake, early explorer Andrew Henry.
**Important note for paddlers:** The river upstream of Red Road Bridge is a no-motors zone, making it ideal for kayaks and canoes. However, access to the upstream section requires rowing or paddling up the estuary and taking out at your put-in point. The ramp is accessed by driving through an adjacent campground, so plan accordingly. Egin Lakes Campground/Day Use Area (reservable) is located within 10 miles if you need overnight accommodations for a multi-day paddling trip.
This access point is one of several options on the Henry's Fork; nearby Hibbard Bridge offers limited roadside parking but no boat ramp, while Warm Slough (IDFG-managed) provides additional facilities including camping. Check current conditions and any seasonal restrictions before your visit.
