Rend Lake

The Waltonville boat ramp provides convenient access to Rend Lake, a sprawling recreational lake in southern Illinois near Waltonville in Jefferson County. This access point is one of several developed launch areas around the lake and features an accessible 20-foot fishing dock with a textured aluminum surface that doubles as boat access. The Visitor Center facility is non-reservable and open to day-use visitors looking to launch kayaks, canoes, and motorboats.

The area is well-developed for water recreation, with nearby campground options at South Sandusky and North Sandusky Campgrounds (both reservable) located within 10 miles for those planning extended trips.
