Resthaven Wildlife Area - Pond No. 8

**Location & Access:** This boat ramp is located at the northeast parking lot in Castalia, Erie County, providing access to Pond No. 8 and Little Pickerel Creek, which connects to Sandusky Bay. The ramp is concrete, approximately 20 feet wide, and designed to accommodate small to medium-sized boats. A courtesy dock is available at the northeast parking area for loading and unloading.

**Facilities & Recreation:** Pond No. 8 is part of the 2,000+ acre Resthaven Wildlife Area, which features 13 ponds suitable for paddling and small boat use. The site offers a handicapped accessible boat ramp and fishing opportunities, with Pond No. 8 being one of the area's most popular fishing destinations for largemouth bass, bluegill, crappie, and catfish. A fishing pier accessible to people with disabilities is also available near the northwest parking lot.
