About This Access Site
The Jack R. Rhodes Lakefront Park boat ramp provides easy access to the scenic waters of Lake Chicot, the largest natural oxbow lake in the United States. This three-lane concrete boat ramp is located on the east side of the lake, just off Main Street in downtown Lake Village. The ramp is free to use and leads directly into deep, calm waters suitable for a variety of watercraft, including kayaks, canoes, and small powerboats.

Lake Chicot is a 20-mile-long oxbow lake known for its excellent fishing opportunities, with populations of crappie, bass, bluegill, and catfish. The lake's protected, slow-moving waters make it ideal for leisurely paddling and wildlife viewing. Nearby amenities at the lakefront park include a swimming area, picnic pavilions, a walking trail, and fishing piers, providing a well-rounded recreational experience for visitors. Boaters and paddlers should be aware of fluctuating water levels and potential debris in the lake, and follow all applicable regulations and safety practices when using the facility.
