Richmond Land Use Area

The Richmond Land Use Area boat ramp provides convenient access to over 1,000-acre Richmond Lake near Aberdeen, South Dakota. Located at the eastern section of the park near the dam, the facility features two separate boat launch ramps that accommodate all vessel types, from large pontoon and fishing boats to kayaks and canoes. This makes it an ideal access point for paddlers of various experience levels and boat sizes.

The surrounding Richmond Lake Recreation Area offers excellent amenities for a full day of paddling and recreation. The facility includes a swimming beach, multiple picnic areas, and fishing opportunities throughout the lake. Additionally, a 3.2-mile multiuse trail is available for those interested in exploring the area on foot.
