About This Access Site
Located near Geneva Junction in Franklin County, the Ringold Boat Ramp provides year-round access to the Columbia River via a single-lane concrete ramp approximately 20 feet wide. The site offers basic facilities including parking for vehicles and boat trailers, making it a straightforward launch point for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboats. A watercraft cleaning station is available on-site to help prevent the spread of aquatic invasive species.

The ramp provides direct access to the Columbia River, a large, powerful waterway that requires awareness of current conditions and flow rates. This section of river sits within the geologically significant Ice Age Floods National Geologic Trail area, offering paddlers the unique opportunity to explore landscape shaped by catastrophic glacial flooding events. Note that the site has two entrances; use the right entrance (over the aqueduct) if you plan to camp overnight at the access area.
