**Location & Access**
Riverside Boating Site is a free, first-come, first-served access point on Hungry Horse Reservoir near Canyon Creek in Flathead County, Montana. The site features a concrete boat ramp suitable for launching kayaks, canoes, and motorized boats. Located on the East Side Reservoir Road #38, approximately 63 miles south of the town of Hungry Horse, it provides early and late-season water access for paddlers seeking to avoid more crowded public boat launches.
**Facilities & Recreation**
The site was renovated in 2014 and includes 3 campsites (2 double sites and 1 single) for those planning overnight trips. Hungry Horse Reservoir—a 27,750-acre impoundment on the South Fork of the Flathead River—welcomes all watercraft types, including kayaks and canoes, though motorized boats are limited to 40 mph and must have mufflers. Anglers will find cutthroat trout and other species throughout the reservoir. For paddlers seeking larger, longer ramps, note that the longest ramps on the east side are located at Abbot Bay and Lost Johnny Point.
