Riverside Park

Riverside Park offers convenient public access to the Detroit River and connecting waterways via a dedicated boat ramp in downtown Detroit. The facility provides launch access to the Detroit Canals, Fox Creek, the Detroit River, and Lake Saint Clair beyond. Day-use parking is available on-site, making it a practical jumping-off point for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboaters exploring the lower Detroit River system.

The Detroit River in this area is a large, slow-moving waterway suitable for paddlers of varying skill levels, with access to the Detroit River International Wildlife Refuge—North America's only international wildlife refuge—located nearby along the lower river.
