About This Access Site
Rock Harbor Town Landing in Orleans provides convenient access to Cape Cod Bay via Rock Harbor Creek. This paved single-lane ramp features a large parking area accommodating 50+ vehicles and trailers, making it suitable for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboats. The landing offers reliable access to the waters of Cape Cod Bay, though paddlers should be aware of tidal conditions when planning their launch.

The site is ideally positioned for exploring some of Cape Cod's premier natural areas. Paddlers can access the pristine 40-mile coastline of Cape Cod National Seashore, with its sandy beaches and salt marshes, as well as nearby Monomoy National Wildlife Refuge, a designated wilderness area that provides excellent wildlife viewing opportunities. Rock Harbor Town Landing serves as an excellent base for both casual day paddles and longer coastal explorations along the Outer Cape.
