The access site is located on the lake's northwestern shore and includes basic facilities including pit toilets. The surrounding area features a mix of wetlands and hardwood forests (green ash, red and silver maple). Nearby amenities in Sand Lake village include groceries and fuel. The Round Lake Campground (reservable) is adjacent to the access area and offers additional recreation opportunities, including fishing for sunfish, bass, and pike, plus a sandy beach. Round Lake Campground has 33 sites in two camping loops. Approximately a quarter of the sites in this campground have access to water. Amenities at the campground include vault toilets and garbage service along with picnic tables and campfire rings at each campsite.Natural Features
