About This Access Site
Rowland Lake is a 37-acre recreational lake located approximately 12 miles south of Manning in Klickitat County, Washington. The public boat launch features a concrete ramp, fixed courtesy dock, and gravel parking lot accommodating 50 vehicles and trailers. Access the site via County Road 344 (Sam Nexsen Road) off County Road 345. The facility is open year-round and includes restroom facilities.

This is an excellent destination for kayakers, canoeists, and small boaters seeking calm-water paddling. The lake offers good shoreline access around its entire perimeter, making it ideal for exploration and recreation. The site is conveniently located just north of The Dalles Lock and Dam, placing it within the scenic Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area. The lake is regularly stocked with rainbow trout, making it popular with anglers as well as paddlers.
