The Cabin Area launch at Salt Fork State Park provides public access to Beeham Run-Salt Fork via a well-maintained concrete ramp approximately 20 feet wide with a gradual slope, making it convenient for launching and retrieving kayaks, canoes, and motorboats. Located in Kimbolton, Guernsey County, the ramp is open to the public year-round and features nearby courtesy docks for registered users. The launch is situated in the main cabin parking lot area, offering convenient vehicle parking close to the water.
This access point serves the larger Salt Fork recreation area, which encompasses approximately 2,952 acres and accommodates boats of unlimited horsepower. The lake features marked speed and ski zones designated by buoys, and eight boat launch ramps are available throughout the lake system to distribute boater traffic. Paddlers should note that this is a popular multi-use recreation area, so expect both motorized and non-motorized watercraft traffic, particularly during peak seasons.
For more detailed information about amenities, seasonal conditions, or nearby facilities at Salt Fork State Park, contact the park office directly or visit the park's official website. Senecaville Lake, another major recreation area operated by the Muskingum Watershed Conservancy District, is nearby for alternative paddling opportunities.
