About This Access Site
The Sugartree Ramp and Marina provides convenient access to Salt Fork Lake in northeastern Ohio near Kimbolton. This public boat launch features two concrete lanes with a gradual slope suitable for launching kayaks, canoes, and motorized boats. The facility includes paved parking, restrooms, and is open year-round. The ramp is located in the northern section of the lake off R-68 Road.
Sugartree Marina offers additional amenities beyond the basic launch, including fuel, food service (including dockside pizza delivery), and rental options for kayaks, fishing boats, and water sports equipment. Boaters can contact the marina at 740-439-4009 for assistance with services or questions. The lake features an unlimited horsepower zone near the ramp and a no-wake zone within 50 yards of shore where overnight boat camping is permitted.
Salt Fork Lake provides diverse recreational opportunities, from scenic paddling routes past historic landmarks like the Stonehouse to water sports and fishing. If the Sugartree Ramp becomes crowded, the Salt Fork Wildlife Area ramp (located at the lake's northeast corner) offers an alternative two-lane concrete launch option.
