Samoa Boat County Park offers a convenient boat ramp access point for kayakers, canoeists, and small motorized boats on Humboldt Bay. The ramp is located on the southern end of the Samoa Peninsula, across the bay from Eureka.
This is a popular launch site for exploring the expansive waters of Humboldt Bay. The bay is approximately 14 miles long and 4.5 miles wide, with generally calm and protected conditions suitable for a variety of watercraft. Paddlers can enjoy scenic vistas, wildlife viewing, and access to the nearby Samoa Dunes Recreation Area.
Facilities at the park include a boat launch, RV camping sites, and picnic areas. While the park is open 24 hours, the campground has a 7-night maximum stay. Boaters should note that there are no fuel, repair, or supply services directly at the launch site, so it's advisable to plan ahead for your trip.
