About This Access Site
Sanders Ferry Park in Hendersonville, Tennessee provides public access to Old Hickory Lake, a popular recreation destination on the Cumberland River. The boat ramp at this site is well-suited for kayaks, canoes, and small motorized boats.

The ramp was recently renovated, adding three new floating docks to make launching and loading easier. The park itself offers grassy areas for picnicking, as well as shoreline access for fishing. While the park does not have any overnight camping, the nearby Anderson Road Campground provides a reservable option for those looking to spend more time on the water.

Old Hickory Lake is a large reservoir with over 200 miles of shoreline, offering ample opportunities for both paddling and motorized boating. The Cumberland River, which feeds the lake, is a wide, slow-moving waterway well-suited for peaceful exploration by kayak or canoe. Boaters should be aware of typical lake conditions, including wind and boat traffic, when planning their visit to Sanders Ferry Park.
