About This Access Site
Sara Park offers public boat ramp access to Lake Mohawksin, a 1,515-acre recreational lake in Lincoln County near Tomahawk, Wisconsin. The ramp is located off W Somo Avenue and is easily accessible via US Highway 51 (Exit 229) heading west on State Highway 86/Somo Avenue. This is a publicly-owned facility that remains open to the public.

Lake Mohawksin is a relatively shallow lake with a maximum depth of 25 feet and low water clarity. The lake supports a healthy fishery including musky, pike, walleye, bass, and panfish, making it popular with anglers. Sara Park includes the boat ramp plus a public beach area, providing options for both paddlers launching canoes or kayaks and traditional motorized boaters. The calm, inland water character makes this site suitable for recreational paddling, though visibility conditions should be considered when planning trips.
