The Schmitmeyer-Baker North boat ramp provides convenient access to Lake Loramie, a 843-acre reservoir in Shelby County near Minster, Ohio. This state park facility features a dedicated boat ramp and is one of several launch points along the lake's 38 miles of shoreline. The lake is relatively shallow, with an average depth of 5 feet and maximum depth of 12 feet, making it well-suited for kayaking, canoeing, and recreational boating.
This northern access point positions paddlers near some of the lake's most popular fishing and recreation areas. There are no horsepower restrictions on Lake Loramie, though a 10 mph speed limit applies from sunset to sunrise. The site includes parking and basic facilities.
