School Creek Boat Ramp provides access to Milford Lake and the Republican River, located about 30 minutes northwest of Junction City in Geary County. The ramp is situated 3 miles off county roads via gravel access roads, making it a secluded option with low traffic. Be prepared for rough access—the gravel road approach and small-boat limitations mean this ramp works best for kayaks, canoes, and smaller motorized vessels rather than large recreational boats.

The Republican River at this location is a substantial waterway—a large river (Stream Order 7) with an average flow of over 1,000 cubic feet per second and moderate gradient. Paddlers should expect steady current and be comfortable with moving water conditions. The site is part of Milford Lake's broader recreation area, which includes the Education Center and Fish Hatchery downstream from the dam. School Creek Campground is adjacent to the ramp if you're planning an overnight trip.
