Selma Park is a public boat ramp facility located off FM 1125 south of Bowie on Lake Amon G. Carter, a scenic impoundment on Big Sandy Creek. The ramp accommodates all boat types and is ideal for kayakers, canoeists, and larger vessels. The site features spacious parking, courtesy docks, and is ADA accessible, making it convenient for paddlers of all abilities to launch and land their watercraft.
The park offers excellent amenities beyond launching, including shoreline angling access, two fishing piers, and nearby camping facilities at Big Sandy Camp and Hudspeth Beach. The lake provides a calm, sheltered paddling environment suitable for recreational paddling, swimming, and fishing.
