About This Access Site
**Location & Access:** Shady Cliff is a boat ramp facility on Lake Malone, an 814-acre impoundment near Lewisburg in Logan County. To reach the ramp, take US 431 north of Russellville, turn left on Highway 1293, then right on Highway 1785 and follow signs to the marina.

**Launching & Facilities:** Shady Cliff Marina operates a dedicated boat ramp with a $5 launch fee (note: a free ramp is also available adjacent to Lake Malone State Park Marina). The ramp is closed during nighttime hours. The facility is well-equipped for various water sports, with pontoon boat rentals, kayak and paddleboard equipment available by the hour, half-day, or full day. Amenities include boat slips for seasonal or annual lease, covered storage, and winterization services.

**Best For:** This access point works well for kayakers, canoeists, and recreational boaters exploring Lake Malone's scenic waters. The calm impoundment is ideal for paddling and offers good recreational opportunities, though paddlers should plan launches during daylight hours when the ramp is operational.
