About This Access Site
**Location & Facilities**
Sheboygan Marsh Park in Elkhart Lake offers a 20-foot-wide boat ramp providing access to the Sheboygan River. This 30-acre county park is well-developed with amenities including 50 campsites with full hookups, showers, picnic areas, fishing piers, and an on-site restaurant and tavern. The park also features an observation tower and educational center, making it a scenic and convenient base for paddlers.

**Paddling Considerations**
The ramp accommodates kayaks, canoes, and small to medium-sized motorized boats. Note that a dam is located at the lower edge of the marsh; paddlers interested in exploring the lower Sheboygan River section should contact Thill Marine (823 Commerce Ave, Sheboygan) for maps and shuttle services. Alternatively, you can paddle downstream from Rochester Park in Sheboygan Falls for a longer 13-mile trip to Sheboygan with two dam portages. The river eventually connects to Lake Michigan for extended paddling opportunities.

**Planning Your Visit**
A Sheboygan County Annual Launch Permit is required and can be obtained at participating vendors. The park's full-service facilities and proximity to multiple paddling routes make it an excellent basecamp for exploring the Sheboygan River system.
