About This Access Site
Shore Acres Resort offers public day-use access to Loon Lake via a dedicated boat launch located in Stevens County, northeastern Washington. The access point is situated on the north end of the lake and provides a straightforward put-in for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboats. From Spokane, take US 395 North for 30 miles, then WA-292 West for 1.75 miles, turn left on Shore Acres Road for 1 mile, and follow the Public Access Road to the launch on the left.
Day-use access is available Monday through Thursday (excluding holidays), and paddlers should check posted signage upon arrival. The resort features a 192-foot dock suitable for mooring and fishing, and offers equipment rentals including kayaks and canoes for those without their own vessels. A sandy beach and swimming area are also available. The on-site Laughing Loon Cafe operates during summer months, and the general store stocks snacks, beverages, and basic supplies. Note that the resort's primary season runs from mid-April through late September.
