About This Access Site
The Shoreline Way boat ramp provides easy public access to the White River in Fayetteville, Arkansas. As a major river system, the White River is well-suited for a variety of boating activities, including kayaking, canoeing, and powerboating.
The boat ramp features a large paved parking area and direct access to the water. The river at this location has an average flow of over 34,000 cubic feet per second and an average gradient of 7.4 feet per mile, making it navigable for both small and medium-sized watercraft. Paddlers should be aware of the river's cold water temperatures and swift currents, especially during periods of high flow.
While public access points along the White River can be limited due to private land ownership, the Shoreline Way ramp is one of approximately 25 such access sites over the river's 92-mile span. Nearby camping is available at the War Eagle Campground, located within 10 miles of the launch site.
