Six Mile Public Water Access is a developed boat launch located on Roy Lake near Lake City in Marshall County, South Dakota (coordinates: 45.73737, -97.47285). The site features a concrete ramp accessed via gravel road, with ample parking and trailer parking available. Restrooms are on-site for visitor convenience.
**Access Requirements & Recreation**
A South Dakota park entrance license is required to use this access point. Roy Lake is known for excellent fishing opportunities and offers visitors sandy beaches, picnic areas, and boat rentals in addition to the launch facility. The lake provides a scenic destination for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboaters of all experience levels. An island trail is available for those interested in exploring beyond the water.
