SL6 Lake is a 12-acre public fishing and boating access point located in Muhlenberg County near Browder, Kentucky. The site features a public boat ramp providing access to the lake and the nearby Pond River system. This is an ideal location for kayakers, canoeists, and small recreational boaters looking for a scenic paddling destination in western Kentucky.
The area is part of the expansive Peabody Wildlife Management Area, known for its abundant wildlife viewing opportunities. Anglers can expect white bass runs around early April, while paddlers may observe bald eagles, waterfowl, and other wildlife in the sloughs and wetlands. Parking is available in designated areas and along maintained roads—please respect access restrictions and do not block gates or roads. Note that hunting occurs in the area seasonally; paddlers should be aware that firearms cannot be discharged within 100 yards of the boat ramp.
