Slidell Marina provides public boat access to Bayou Bonfouca in St. Tammany Parish. Located 0.5 miles west of US 11 on LA 433 (the first south road after crossing the bayou bridge), this full-service facility offers fuel docks, boat storage options, and trailer services. The site is part of Heritage Park, developed through a $1.5 million Boat Infrastructure Grant received by the City of Slidell in 2012 to enhance recreational boating access along Bayou Bonfouca.
This is an excellent launching point for kayakers and canoeists exploring the bayou system. The calm waters of Bayou Bonfouca provide ideal paddling conditions for recreational boating and fishing. Nearby recreation opportunities include Big Branch Marsh National Wildlife Refuge along the north shore of Lake Pontchartrain and the Pearl River 3 Pools area, both offering additional boating and fishing experiences in the region.
