The Snow Shanty Boat Mooring area provides access to Promised Land Lake in Pike County's Promised Land State Park. Located off Pickerel Point Road south of the Day Use Area near PA Route 390, this mooring site is ideal for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboat users looking to explore the lake. The area is popular with paddlers, particularly those interested in scenic loop routes around the lake.

Before launching, paddlers should obtain a launching permit from the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission or a mooring permit from the state park office. All Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission regulations apply to this water body.
