This is a beach launch site with parking for approximately 5 cars and trailers. The access point is accessible to the water's edge, and parking and facilities are also accessible.
**Paddling Conditions:** South Colwell Pond is a small, shallow water body that may experience dense aquatic vegetation, particularly later in the season. An important feature to note: depending on lake currents and conditions, South Colwell Pond may be directly connected to Lake Ontario via a channel through the barrier beach. When this channel is open, paddlers with small boats may be able to access Lake Ontario. Before launching, check current water conditions and vegetation levels, as these can significantly affect paddling ease and navigation.
