South Ramp

**Location & Access:** The South Ramp is located mid-lake on the south side of Hugh Butler Lake (Red Willow Reservoir) in Frontier County, southwestern Nebraska. Access is via Red Willow Reservoir State Recreation Road. This is one of three boat ramps serving the lake and provides a convenient launch point for paddlers and boaters exploring the southern sections of the reservoir.

**Facilities:** The ramp features a two-lane concrete launch with an adjacent dock and gravel parking area. These amenities make it suitable for kayaks, canoes, and motorized boats. For additional services, the Spring Creek Recreation Area concession (located on the northeast side of the lake) offers supplies, fuel, food, boat rentals, and fishing permits.

**Recreation Context:** Hugh Butler Lake is a scenic reservoir managed by the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission for the Bureau of Reclamation. The lake offers diverse paddling and fishing opportunities.
