Sparkleberry is a public, two-lane boat ramp offering convenient access to Lake Marion, South Carolina's largest reservoir. Located near Rimini in Sumter County, the ramp features gravel parking for 45 vehicles and trailers, making it suitable for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboats. To reach the site, take County Road 51 (Camp Mac Boykin Road) approximately 6 miles southwest of Pinewood and follow Sparkleberry Road to the ramp's end.
Lake Marion spans 90,000 acres across multiple counties with an average depth of 13 feet and maximum depth around 77 feet, providing stable paddling conditions for various skill levels. The lake's scenic shoreline is lined with tupelo, ash, and cypress trees that create excellent wildlife viewing opportunities.
