About This Access Site
Spectacle Lake West provides a concrete boat ramp for easy access to Spectacle Lake, a 396-acre storage reservoir located in the Whitestone Coulee Unit near Loomis in Okanogan County. The site offers convenient year-round access with on-site restrooms and ADA-accessible parking, making it a straightforward launch point for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboats. The access area is located just 4.4 miles east of Loomis via Oroville County Road, with good highway access along the lake's shoreline.

Spectacle Lake is known as one of Washington's premier fishing destinations, particularly for rainbow trout, which makes it a popular recreation spot. The lake's location in a relatively accessible area combined with the improved boat launch infrastructure makes it well-suited for day-use paddling and boating activities. Note that this is a day-use only facility with no camping available on-site, though nearby camping options may be available in the surrounding Loomis area.
