Located at the north end of Lake D'Arbonne's dam off North Spillway Road in Farmerville, the Spillway Ramp provides convenient access to this popular recreation area. The facility features a multi-lane concrete boat ramp approximately 20-30 feet wide, accompanied by a dock and gravel parking area. This setup accommodates kayaks, canoes, and larger motorboats, making it suitable for paddlers of all types.
Lake D'Arbonne offers diverse recreational opportunities including fishing, boating, paddling, and nature photography, with a swimming beach also available nearby. The area lies near the D'Arbonne National Wildlife Refuge, making it an excellent base for exploring the wetlands and wildlife of the Louisiana Alluvial Valley. Note that fishing is prohibited within 50 feet of the ramp, and the facility is closed from sunset to sunrise except for loading/unloading boats. No overnight camping or fires are permitted at the launch area.
