Spring Lake's North access area offers convenient launch facilities for kayakers, canoeists, and small motorboats. The site features both gravel and concrete launching ramps located just 50 feet from the parking lot via concrete sidewalk, making it accessible for users of varying abilities. Restrooms with accessible vault toilets are available along the lake.

**Important Details:** Spring Lake enforces a 25 horsepower motor limit, making it ideal for quiet paddling and small recreational boats. No fuel or services are available at this location, though camping and food options exist nearby. The lake is accessible via Manito Blacktop, approximately 12 miles south of Pekin. Be aware of underwater springs when paddling, particularly during ice fishing season. The lake is also adjacent to Chautauqua National Wildlife Refuge, a significant migratory bird sanctuary, offering scenic paddling opportunities in a natural setting.
