About This Access Site
Spring Recreation Site offers convenient public access to Brownlee Reservoir, a 52-mile-long impoundment on the Snake River near Huntington, Oregon. The facility features a boat ramp, floating dock, and ample parking for boat trailers. The site is accessible year-round and includes camping (RV and tent sites), a fish cleaning station, picnic areas, and restrooms. A floating ramp with accessibility features accommodates various water levels, though extra assistance may be needed when the reservoir is at lower levels.

**Important considerations for boaters:** Water levels fluctuate seasonally, with the reservoir generally full in spring but subject to significant drawdown beginning in summer. Check current conditions by calling the Baker BLM office at 541-523-1256 before your trip, as the boat ramp may close at lower water levels. Day-use fees are $2.00 per vehicle; camping is available at $5.00 per night with a 14-day limit. The reservoir is known for excellent fishing opportunities, including channel catfish, crappie, and bass. From Huntington, follow Snake River Road east to the site, which is clearly marked from town.
