Spring River Lake

Spring River Lake is a 664-acre lake located in Steuben, Hancock County, Maine, offering public access via a well-maintained cement plank boat ramp. To reach the launch from the east, take Black Woods Road in Cherryfield and drive approximately 6 miles—the ramp is on the right at the end of a short dirt drive. The facility provides a reliable access point for paddlers and boaters exploring this scenic lake in the Blackstone River watershed.

**Important restrictions apply**: Only non-motorized boats and electric motor-powered vessels are permitted on Spring River Lake. While some shoreline is managed as a Black Hut Management Area, much of the lake is lined with residential properties and includes a town beach. Paddlers should be prepared for mixed use and respect posted property boundaries. The ramp's good condition makes it suitable for launching kayaks, canoes, and small non-motorized craft.
