About This Access Site
This primitive boat ramp provides access to Spruce Creek and Turnbull Bay in New Smyrna Beach, located across from 3460 Dixie Freeway. The ramp is currently open and offers a convenient launch point for kayakers, canoeists, and small motorboats exploring the upper creek system in this Atlantic Coastal Plain area.

**Important Tidal Considerations:** This access point is highly tide-dependent. Due to deep mud in the area, the ramp becomes unusable at low tide, so plan your launch for high tide to avoid getting stuck. The creek offers a scenic 16-mile round-trip paddle suitable for beginners, making it a good option for recreational paddlers looking for a manageable outing with protected waters.

Note that upper Spruce Creek access points have become limited in recent years. If you need additional amenities or equipment, Cracker Creek Canoeing operates a private livery downstream with rentals and a boat ramp. Always check current tidal conditions before launching at this primitive access site.
