About This Access Site
St. Nicholas Landing is a DNR-maintained public boat access located on the south side of Albert Lea Lake in Albert Lea, along County Road 19. This is one of two primary public access points on the 2,654-acre lake, making it a convenient launch spot for kayakers, canoeists, and boaters exploring the water. The facility features a concrete boat ramp with parking and two entry driveways.

The ramp can accommodate boats up to 12-18 feet, depending on water levels and conditions. There are no launch fees at this access point, making it an economical choice for recreational paddling. This location provides good access to the main lake for day trips and recreational boating, though paddlers should be aware of typical lake conditions and plan accordingly for wind and weather on the larger water body.
