State Park Ramp

Located near Lucas in Barren County, this boat ramp provides access to Barren River Lake, a recreation area with marina and ramp facilities suitable for kayakers, canoeists, and motorboats. The site features a concrete ramp and bank fishing areas, making it convenient for launching paddling trips or fishing excursions. The park is situated with good water access, and the calm lake environment is well-suited for recreational paddling and water activities.

The Barren River Lake area offers multiple launch points in the region, including nearby ramps at Port Oliver, Peninsula, and The Narrows, giving paddlers options for exploring different sections of the lake. The lake's historic setting follows the route of the Barren River, the same waterway used by westward-traveling pioneers. Beyond paddling, the area provides access to several regional attractions including Mammoth Cave National Park (about an hour north) and other local points of interest, making it an excellent base for a full day of recreation.
