About This Access Site
Steamboat Rock State Park offers excellent access to Banks Lake with seven boat ramps spread across three locations throughout the park, plus 320 feet of dock space for boat handling. Located near Electric City in Grant County, this is a well-equipped launch site for kayakers, canoeists, and larger boats. The park provides ample amenities including auto and boat trailer parking, restrooms, picnic areas, and information facilities to support a full day on the water.

Banks Lake is a scenic 60,000+ acre reservoir with 500 miles of shoreline, offering plenty of room for paddling and exploration. Beyond water activities, Steamboat Rock State Park features the dramatic 800-foot Steamboat Rock formation with hiking trails offering panoramic views of Grand Coulee and the surrounding landscape. The park also provides access to nearby Franklin D. Roosevelt Lake and is positioned conveniently near Grand Coulee Dam.
