About This Access Site
The Steele Lake boat ramp is located on the west shore of this 76-acre Le Sueur County lake and provides convenient public access via a well-maintained park facility. The launch area features two boat ramps—a single-lane and a two-lane option—suitable for kayaks, canoes, and motorboats up to approximately 12–18 feet. To reach the access, take FM 56 from the dam toward Lakeside Village, cross Steele Creek bridge, turn right at the first road, and continue about 1/10 mile to the T intersection; turn right again and follow to the park entrance.
With a maximum depth of 27 feet, Steele Lake supports a variety of recreational activities including fishing and recreational boating. The access site is day-use friendly, and there are no launch fees unless a vehicle permit is required by the park. This location is ideal for paddlers seeking a calm, manageable lake environment in a scenic rural setting. Check local conditions and any seasonal park updates before your visit.
