**Location & Access:**
Located in Morgan City, St. Martin Parish, Stephenville Road provides access to the Atchafalaya River via LA 3177 (Atchafalaya River Highway). From the east, take Exit 121 and follow the curved ramp to LA 3177, then turn right. Note that there is no boat ramp directly at this location—instead, a gravel ramp can be found approximately two miles downstream on the east bank of the river (at 60.7 LBD, near Bayou Des Glaises).
**What to Expect:**
This access point serves paddlers and boaters on the Atchafalaya River, one of Louisiana's major waterways. The Atchafalaya is a large, relatively flat river system with moderate current flow, making it suitable for kayaks, canoes, and motorized boats. The basin is known for excellent fishing opportunities and rich cultural significance. Water conditions can vary with seasonal changes, including high water and drawdown periods, but the gravel ramp downstream accommodates launches during most conditions.
